Hey all you Cajun music fans! The Revelers will be playing this year’s fest.
Founding members of The Red Stick Ramblers and The Pine Leaf Boys — described as “two groups at the vanguard of the Louisiana cultural renaissance” — join together to form The Revelers. Cajun, Country, Blues and Zydeco combine into a powerful tonic of roots music that’s sure to get you moving.
The individual members are in high demand, having performed and recorded with Natalie Merchant, Linda Ronstadt, Preston Frank, Mamadou Diabate, Cedric Watson and Tim O’Brien, among others. As a group they play with empathy and depth that reflect years of making music together. Simply put, The Revelers are the next Louisiana supergroup.
Sugar Maple Fest alums The Foghorn Stringband will be performing at the High Noon Saloon on Wednesday, February 20th. Come out and hear some outstanding stringband music.
The Steel Wheels will playing this summer’s Sugar Maple Fest!
The Four Lakes Traditional Music Collective first brought The Steel Wheels to Madison last March. Those of us lucky enough to be at that show can attest to the picking pyrotechnics, excellent song writing and 4 part harmonies that make The Steel Wheels so special.
