August 2 - 3

Friends of Sugar Maple,
Remember your first Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival? The music, dancing, music, children, music, friendship. Did I mention music?
Or maybe 2016 will be your first Sugar Maple fest.
Whether you are a regular – or you’ve heard so much you can no longer stay away – we’re talking to you.
This year’s festival – the 13th annual – is less than two months away. We couldn’t be more excited about the musicians coming to Lake Farm Park on August 5th and 6th! This year’s lineup includes Devil in a Woodpile, Art Stevenson & Highwater, Aoife O’Donovan and Jay Farrar – performers you won’t see brought together on the same stage anywhere else.
Keeping the festival at Lake Farm County Park at the same ticket price and with the same stellar acts costs more each year. So we are reaching out to tell you about our fundraising campaign called “1 in 100”, where we seek 100 donations of $100 or more. We hope you will want to be a 1 in 100 and help us keep this unique event going for years to come.
We started this campaign in May and are 60 percent to our goal! That’s right, 60 percent! You can help us make that 100 percent.
Donors get perks for being 1 in 100:
· Donate $100 and receive a thank you note, an “I’m 1 in 100” sticker and 2 free beer tickets at this year’s festival.
· Donate $200 or more and get the above plus 2 weekend tickets to the festival.
And of course, you get the satisfaction that comes with helping keep this one-of-a-kind festival possible and accessible.
If you can make a larger donation, we truly thank you. We are grateful for smaller donations, too. The festival is presented by an all-volunteer organization with board members who are also financial donors and, since we are a 501.c.3 organization, all donations are tax deductible.
You can make donations on line at the Sugarmaplefest.org web site (the Donate button on the right side), or you can mail your donations to our mailing address listed below.
But to get started, let us know you are in.
Send an email to sugarmaple1in100@gmail.com so we can add you to our list of donors and make sure you get the perks.
Checks can be mailed to:
FLTMC (Four Lakes Traditional Music Collective)
PO Box 3299

Thank you so much. We can’t wait to see you at the festival on August 5 and 6.
Ask your friends to donate to this great cause and bring them, too!
Hello Sugar Maple Fans!
It’s that time of year! Time to start thinking about volunteering for the 13th Annual Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival August 5-6 at Lake Farm County Park in Madison.
Volunteers will receive FREE TICKET ENTRY ON THE DAY YOU VOLUNTEER. Register early, space is very limited! The best way you can guarantee you will be selected to volunteer is to be flexible about what times you can volunteer and what roles you are willing to accept. Not all registrations will be accepted – we have very specific shifts to fill, and when they are gone, they are gone.
If you already purchased tickets and you decide to volunteer, we ask that you sell your ticket or give it to a friend.
If you are interested in signing up this year as a medical, beer, merchandise, ticket/registration or clean-up volunteer, please click on the link below to fill out the Volunteer Registration Form. If you notice glitches or you have questions, please do not hesitate to send a note to me at sugarmaplevolunteers@gmail.com.

The first weekend in August has become a homecoming of sorts, as fans of traditional roots music descend on Lake Farm County Park for the Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival. Year after year this homegrown laid-back festival offers an eclectic mix of musicians and at first glance, appears to be similar to other music festivals. But watch and listen and you will quickly come to realize there is something special about the Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival. Festivalgoers of all ages are not only encouraged to listen to the music, but to interact with the music.
The festival is produced by the Four Lakes Traditional Music Collective and supported by you!
Join our #GivingTuesday campaign as we raise funds and awareness for the 2016 Sugar Maple Traditional Music Festival.
