Hi-Ho the Dairyland-O—The Farmer and Adele!

Clean up your cowboy boots and break out your Bolo ties! Nashville’s The Farmer and Adele will be swinging by the Sugar Maple Music Festival on August 5th.

Grace Adele (vocals, sock-rhythm guitar), Keenan Wade (mandolin, vocals), Chris Bauer (vocals, steel guitar), and Cody Campbell (upright bass) are famous for performing original songs and covers that will delight anyone who loves that high lonesome sound. So if you like Gene Autry, Riders in the Sky, Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys, John England & the Western Swingers, Homer & Jethro, Ray Price, Don Gibson, or Patsy Cline, don’t want to miss The Farmer and Adele.

You can check out for their latest album Into the Wide Open Sky (2015), featuring the legendary country western group Riders in the Sky or click the link below to see what’s in store for everyone at the 2017 Sugar Maple Music Festival!

Hello Sugar Maple Fans!

It’s that time of year! Time to start thinking about volunteering for the 14th Annual Sugar Maple Music Festival August 4-5 at Lake Farm County Park in Madison.

Volunteers will receive FREE TICKET ENTRY ON THE DAY YOU VOLUNTEER. Register early, space is very limited! The best way you can guarantee you will be selected to volunteer is to be flexible about what times you can volunteer and what roles you are willing to accept.

If you are interested in signing up this year as a medical, beer, merchandise, ticket/registration or clean-up volunteer, please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form.

Not all registrations will be accepted – we have very specific shifts to fill, and when they are gone, they are gone.  If you already purchased tickets and you decide to volunteer, we ask that you sell your ticket or give it to a friend.

If you notice glitches or you have questions, please do not hesitate to send a note to us at sugarmaplevolunteers@gmail.com.

Get ready for some homespun Milwaukee bluegrass! Thistledown Thunders will perform at the 2017 Sugar Maple Music Festival. The band includes Krystal Kuehl (guitar), Johanna Rose (bass), Jack Tell (guitar) and Ernest Brusubardis IV (fiddle). They have been providing toe-tapping bluegrass to Milwaukee and southeastern Wisconsin since 2014.

Thistledown Thunders honor traditional bluegrass and folk music while adding a modern touch that makes their music more accessible to a wider audience. Some of their influences include Bill Monroe, Punch Brothers, Ralph Stanley, Earl Scruggs, and Steve Earle.

You’ve got plenty of time before Sugar Maple Fest to get to know this Wisconsin band, but why wait? Check out their Facebook page and the video below for a preview right now. Look for upcoming shows to attend. For extra credit, drink a beer and say “Thistledown Thunders” three times really fast!
