A first at the Sugar Maple Fest, this showcase event will be a smorgasbord of fiddlers presented in a round table type discussion of fiddle styes, techniques and experiences. This session will bring together an all-star group of fiddlers from all over the country to play and discuss Celtic, Bluegrass, Cajun, Swing and Old-time styes. A not to be missed showcase! The workshop will be held on Saturday, Aug 1st at (tentatively) 2:45pm and will feature fiddle players from this years lineup.

Paul Kienitz is one of the best traditional bluegrass fiddlers in the upper Midwest. He has performed and recorded with a number of fine bands. He also was the featured fiddler in the “Blue Grass Boys Reunion” at the 2008 Sugar Maple festival where he performed with bluegrass legends Mike Compton, Bob Black, Tom Ewing and Mark Hembree in a celebration of the music of Bill Monroe.
